Montana sapphires are mined in, you guessed it, the state of Montana, USA. Raw material is getting very scarce, the Montana sapphires on these pages are from our own collection, we have reluctantly decided to offer them for sale. The unique color of blue Montana sapphires reminds you of a favorite pair of jeans. Usually lacking in purple tones, they often exhibit a gray or greenish blue tint and sometimes even flashes of yellow. They also come in other colors, like orange, yellow, green, apricot, pink and colorless. Like all sapphires, Montana sapphires are tough and relatively scratch-resistant and make great jewelry stones.
All the Montana sapphires we sell are American cut.

Please note: Most of these sapphires are small, under a carat, the images are HUGE by comparison, it is like you are looking at these stones under magnification, none of the flaws or inclusions you may see here are as visible to the eye!
