Shipping & Returns


Gemfix has been in business since 1993, and selling online since 1998. Through the years we have specifically defined and refined our shipping policies based on thousands of transactions, in order to give you the safest and best online buying experience possible!

Please understand that we are unable to make exceptions to the following items:

Shipping:
We ship all orders fully insured. As a fraud protection measure, we only ship to the billing address your credit card company has on file; the cardholder’s signature is required.

All client details must match what your credit card company has on file.

We cannot ship to a friend, relative, jeweler, or other third party. If you want someone else to receive the item for you, they must purchase the item, have it shipped to their confirmed billing address, and review it on your behalf within the 7 day period. Obviously, we don’t recommend this!

Orders usually ship the following business day via FedEx 2-day Express, that is, 2 business days.

International Shipping:
We do not ship outside of the United States.

Payment:
We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Orders paid by credit cards are processed through our secure server. 

PayPal payments are no longer accepted
Due to changes in PayPal’s Return Policy (effective May 2019), we no longer accept PayPal payments. PayPal will not refund any fees they charge the merchant, including the processing fee as well as the entire transaction fee, even though the merchant must refund the entire amount to the customer.
For high priced items like gemstones, this would greatly increase the cost of doing business, which would eventually have to be passed on to the consumer.
When faced with the choice of either charging a “restocking fee” for returns to reimburse us for the fees PayPal will not refund us, or simply not accepting PayPal payments, we choose the latter.
Of course, we still accept other forms of credit card payments!

Return Policy:
We want you, our customer, to be absolutely thrilled with your purchase!
Gemfix offers a 7 day inspection period to review your purchase. The 7 day period begins when the carrier first attempts delivery so please make arrangements to sign for it upon arrival. If you are not completely satisfied with your item, return it unaltered on or before day 7 for a full refund minus shipping. Items returned must be in the same new condition as they were when they were delivered to you. No gemstone will be accepted for a refund if it has been set, scratched, polished, chipped, fractured, weighs differently or has been altered in any way. We strongly recommend that you do not set your gemstone until you fully intend to keep it!
We do not accept items beyond the 7 day inspection period.

To Make a Return:
If you have purchased an item that you would like to return, you MUST contact us for an RA Number (Return Authorization) and special instructions on how and where to send in a return. Do not send in a return unless you have an RA# and the correct return address. Shipments will be refused and returned to sender if no RA is issued.

Before returning any item e-mail us at: gemfixinfo@gmail.com or call (619) 696-0596 for the RA number, return address, and instructions.
In order to deter potential theft, please do not write any words on the package shipping label that may allude to the contents of the package (such as: Gems, Sapphire, etc.).

A refund or credit will be issued after we receive your return. Shipping costs cannot be refunded. Credit card charges will be credited back to your card.

Privacy note:
When making a purchase, we ask for your phone number and/or e-mail in the event that we have any questions about your order. We’re committed to keeping your personal information confidential. The information we collect is not shared with anyone else for any reason, ever! (see our Privacy Policy page)
